write.folk is the blogging service on the folk.zone network. It runs WriteFreely, free and open-source blogging software with federation built in.
Essays, notes, fiction, documentation, opinions, anything you want to publish! Blogs can be public (visible on the fediverse and the local reader), unlisted (accessible by direct link only), or private (just for you).
Every blog on write.folk has an ActivityPub address. People on Mastodon and other fediverse platforms can follow your blog, bookmark posts, and share them — without needing an account here.
write.folk is operated by Brennan Kenneth Brown, from Treaty 7 territory in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. folk.zone is a homelab project. Not a company, not a business. It runs on consumer hardware in a home and is offered freely as a contribution to the indie web.
